FLIGHTS

For guests flying in, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) is the closest airport. Çeşme, where the wedding is located, is approximately an hour's drive from the airport.

AIRPORT TO ÇESME

There are several transportation options available:

  • Rental Car:

Rental cars are available directly at the airport. This is a great option if you plan to explore the area during your stay.

  • Taxi / Uber:

Taxis are readily available at the airport. The journey typically costs approximately $90–120 USD, depending on traffic and exact drop-off location. You can also use the BiTaksi app to hail a licensed taxi and see an estimated fare in advance. The journey typically costs approximately $90–120 USD. Uber operates in Izmir as well, though it typically dispatches standard taxis rather than private drivers, but may sometimes offer slightly lower fares.

  • HAVAS Airport Bus:

For a more budget-friendly option, Havaş operates direct shuttles from the airport to Çeşme and Alaçatı, departing from the arrivals level roughly every 2 hours. The journey takes about 1.5 hours with the bus and costs roughly $10–15 USD per person. Payment can typically be made by card or cash on board. You can check the bus schedule through this link and select İzmir Adnan Menderes —> Çeşme or Alaçatı.

  • Private Transfer:

We may coordinate shared shuttle transfers from the airport to Çesme for guests arriving around similar times. If you're interested, reach out to us by phone or email at thewalkers.contact@gmail.com once your flights are booked. Check back in July for more details.

Wedding Day

SHUTTLE SERVICE

Shuttle service will be provided to and from the venue on the wedding day. Pickups will operate from designated hotel where many of our guests are staying and from Alaçatı town center - so whether you're staying at one of our recommended hotels, a boutique, or an Airbnb in the area, you'll have a convenient pickup point nearby.

Out-of-town guests will have priority, though local guests are welcome to use the shuttle if space allows.

Please indicate in your RSVP whether you'll need a shuttle seat so we can plan accordingly. Final pickup times will be shared with confirmed guests in July 2026.

TAXI & PRIVATE TRANSFER

Taxis are readily available throughout Çeşme and Alaçatı. If you prefer to make your own way to the venue, use the BiTaksi / Uber app or ask your hotel to arrange a transfer.

The venue, Om Paparazzi, is located at: Sakarya, Ayayorgi Mevki No:11, 35930 Çeşme/İzmir.

Travel Tips

Entry Requirements

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for tourism stays under 90 days. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date in Turkey.

Weather

September in Izmir is typically warm, with daytime temperatures around mid-80s°F (27-30°C) and cooler evenings around 65°F (18°C). Expect sunny, beautiful beach weather.

Outlets

Turkey uses Type F and Type C outlets (230V). US plugs will require an adapter. Most modern devices (phones, laptops, cameras) are dual-voltage and only need a plug adapter. Hair tools such as dryers or straighteners may require a voltage converter.

Currency

The local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY). Credit cards are widely accepted, but we recommend carrying some cash in lira for smaller purchases and local spots.

Getting Around

Taxis and ride services are readily available throughout Çeşme. Alaçatı town center is very walkable, with most restaurants, bars, and shops are within easy strolling distance. Public transportation is also available in İzmir and other major cities.

Language

English is widely spoken in major cities and tourist areas across Turkey, so you should have no trouble getting around. A few Turkish phrases go a long way and locals would appreciate the effort.
